Interesting concept. I'm torn between the pleasure of another use or outlet for photography, vs. my reaction to the people that "fetishize homes now, in a way that we never used to". These are the kind of people that I love to watch having kids. Either the people go nuts because they can't stick with their pristine, cover of Architectural Digest, model home ideals, or give their kids neuroses because they end up raising them in little plastic bubbles. Or, they all get over it and just return to normal life.
