Conclave: A Journal of Character is once again open for submissions for the second issue of our annual print journal.

We seek character-focused photos of pristine composition and revelatory content, black and white photographs that evoke personality, an unforgettable story, a compelling emotion, the decisive moment.

The photographs chosen for our first issue appeared in our magazine and are now available to be viewed on our website:
www.conclavejournal.com/multimed...ue1Pho...

This year we have also added the Conclave Character Prize in Photography, as well as a new photography submission category for 2009. For 2009, we will select one non-news picture story or photo essay on a single theme.

* The story is limited to 8-10 photographs, and must be in black and white with a character-focus.
* We will accept submissions through our online submissions manager, as well as through our flickr site.

We look forward to seeing your photographs!

Thank you
