Contact sheets in PS CS.....

It is making them well enough - but only with a white background....
Anyway to change this (can't find any preference for it...), to the more traditional looking 'contact sheet' with black background...??

I only have Photoshp CS....

Or anybody know of any free, downloadable programs that make good contact sheets (not to print, just for on screen)....??

    If you're accessing this under 'file' , 'automate' , 'web photo gallery', look under the 'options' section and pull down 'custom colors'.


    Another way is to make a custom template. Check in c:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop\Presets\WebContactSheet\... find one that's close to what you like, copy it to a new folder and modify to suit your needs.


    In my case, I changed the 'simple' template to call the external .css file, removed the banner, etc. Saves a lot of time not having to tweak each .html file. Details are in the help file, search 'web gallery'.

      that sounds way more 'behind the curtain' than my limited brain cells can manage.... but, by golly- i'll give it a try.......!!!!!

          hard enough that that is what i've been doing-
          THATS how i get the WHITE BACKGROUND... which is what i dont want...



          and the 'web photo gallery/custom colors' only gives me a ready made web page- NOT a contact sheet......

          i'm slightly tech challenged, not stupid........ lol

            Granted, I'm using CS3 but... when I run ContactSheet II, the image thumbnails are on a floating transparent layer. Couldn't you just select the background layer and make it black (in any of the half dozen ways--invert, fill with balck, delete with black background, etc--that spring to mind)?
